Beginners Course
(3 Days)

In our Beginners course we want to establish the basic principles and techniques of hunting . During this course we also stimulate the interest that our juniors have for hunting even more.

During the course results are kept of each junior to show their strengths and weaknesses. The results gives the juniors a chance to improve themselves to the highest standard we require in each course. All juniors who successfully completes the course will be rewarded with a certificate.

During this course there will be target practising with a .22 calibre. The reason for this , we want the juniors to be thoroughly familiar and comfortable with weapon handling, safety and shooting techniques. It is important that the correct principles are captured! Weapon handling and safety is very important for any hunter or any other person handling weapons! We supply a full Learner manual to each junior which will guide and learn the juniors through the course.

Course are bilingual and every effort will be taken to make sure that individuals understand the contents.

  • Weapon handling and safety
  • Hunting techniques
  • Shooting techniques, and much more with our Professional hunters

Included in all courses:

  • All meals
  • Full accommodation
  • Transport to and from meeting area

The following items are required:

  • Sleeping bag & pillow
  • Toiletries
  • Clothes
  • Hat for sun
  • Sunscreen
  • Trousers for the field
  • Warm jacket and gloves
  • Ear protection (important for Advanced course)
  • Binoculars, if you have
  • Any medication that should be taken
  • Spending money
  • Correct shoes for hunting (no open shoes like sandals)

We meet our juniors in Pretoria, Sefako Makgatho (Zambezi) Drive at the McDonalds (Kolonnade Centrum).

We will depart from there to camp which is about 60km out of Pretoria. We prefer that the responsible person drop of the juniors so necessary formalities can be completed.

  • Drop off on Sunday: 10h30

Advanced Course
(5 Days)

In our Advanced course we offer our juniors the opportunity to accompany a hunt of an animal with a Professional Hunter, Steven van Niekerk as well as learn to do the skinning, and make Biltong in a fully equipped butchery! Results are taken from each junior in order to show the strengths and weaknesses. The results offer the juniors a chance to improve themselves to the highest standard we require in each course. In this course you use a larger caliber to hunt.

  • Rowland Ward measuring methods
  • Skinning of own animal
  • Making of own biltong
